Glen Cooper — Guest Speaker
Glen Cooper has spent nearly five decades helping business owners understand, grow, and ultimately sell what they’ve built. He began his career as a business broker in 1979 and has completed transactions across a wide range of industries—from local service companies to multi-location operations. For the first 25 years, he also worked as an accredited business appraiser, giving him a rare, ground-level view of what actually drives value (and what doesn’t).
Glen runs a boutique practice, working with just a handful of clients at a time. That depth shows up in his process—detailed financial modeling, real-world assumptions, and clear-eyed valuations that go far beyond generic “rules of thumb.”
He’s also the author of Glen Cooper on Business Brokerage, a 300-page guide drawn from decades in the field:

What’s Your Business Really Worth?
Most founders have a number in their head.
It’s usually wrong.
In this session, Glen will walk through how businesses are actually valued.
He’ll break down:
What buyers are really looking at when they evaluate your business
How Seller’s Discretionary Earnings (SDE) works—and why it matters more than profit
The hidden adjustments that can significantly raise or lower your valuation
How to estimate your business value in about an hour (without hiring an appraiser)
If you’re building with an exit in mind—or just want to understand what you’re really sitting on—this session will give you a much clearer picture.
